BDAN speaks for the directors of Nigeria's banks, so its website has to carry the same authority as its members.
The Bank Directors Association of Nigeria was established in 1997, at the 13th Annual Bank Directors Seminar in Abuja, under the auspices of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation. It is a non-profit organisation limited by guarantee, and the only umbrella body of bank directors in Nigeria. It promotes sustainable banking practices and represents its members' views to the regulators.
We redesigned and rebuilt the association's website from the ground up, with a new information architecture and visual design, on a content management system the secretariat can update.

Home, About BDAN, Leadership, Past Presidents, Team, Advocacy, Capacity Building, Research & Development, Newsletter, Magazine, Gallery, Media, News, Careers, Membership, Contact.
The brief
BDAN's work covers advocacy on behalf of member banks, capacity building for directors and their personal, executive and technical assistants, and industry research, alongside a steady flow of press releases, newsletters, events and a magazine. The website had to present all of this with the credibility the association's members expect, and make it easy for the secretariat to keep publishing.
Our approach
We grouped the content into clear sections: The Association (About BDAN, Leadership, Past Presidents and Team), What We Do (Advocacy, Capacity Building, and Research & Development), Events & Engagements, News, and Membership. The home page introduces the association and its chairman, then leads into the latest press releases, the three areas of work, upcoming events and the member banks.
Publishing areas such as news, the newsletter archive, the magazine and events are built as structured pages, so the secretariat can add new content without design work.
