Maturing like fine wine: every artwork The Art Exchange shows is at least ten years old.
The Art Exchange Limited is a Lagos fine art house offering discreet, strategic services for the procurement and acquisition of blue-chip art and collectibles. It specialises in modern and contemporary works at least ten years old, alongside antiques, rare books, maps, vintage trunks and iconic furniture, and publishes The Art Exchange Index, a list of artists selected by an advisory board set up by its founder, Robert Mbonu.
We designed the website from scratch, developed it, host it, protect and speed it up through Cloudflare, and optimised it for search.

The brief
The Art Exchange sells to collectors and investors who expect discretion and quality. Its website had to feel like a private gallery, present artworks with the detail buyers look for, explain the AE Index, and make it easy to buy, sell or finance a piece, all on a fast, secure and well-indexed site.
Our approach
We designed a custom look in the house colours of deep claret and charcoal, with the company's wordmark and a serif title that gives the site a gallery feel. The home page leads with the Exchange's promise, then its latest collections, each card showing the artist, medium and year, and the story of the AE Index.
An Artists directory with search, an inventory organised by category, from sculpture and paintings to antiques and furniture, and dedicated Display, Sell and Finance pages complete the site. We host it, run it through Cloudflare for security and speed, and set it up for search.
